Design Wall Monday

I've got most of the banner done. I don't have the leading sewn yet, but it is ironed on and ready to be sewn. I still have to figure out how I am going to finish it. I think I am going to quilt it, but I don't know if I am going to sew one side of the leading down before it's sandwiched, then the other as the quilting line. I also haven't figured out about the background, but so far it's been coming to me as I go, so I'm not too worried.

On another note I found some fabric for the background for the Dresden Plates blocks. At first I thought it was too bold, then I thought, for babies, it's just fine. The dots are buttons!

Beautiful banner! Where is it being hung? Where ever it goes, it will look wonderful.

Love your Dresden plate and the background. The background you found looks great!

Like the dots, I am very drawn to bright quilts. Used to use light everything, don't know why. Guess tastes change through the years.

Your banner is looking great and I love the background for the DP. I have a son and DIL in the Springs: enjoy the snow.

Buttons! How cute.

I love the background for the plate. It is perfect for children, and sets off the solids in the blades of the dresden plate. There is no rule, that I know of, that says the background to Dresden plates has to be white. LOL

The banner is so gorgeous Mary - I love that you're making it up as you go, that's my favorite way and the one that seems to work best, for me anyway.
Your dresdens are just darling and perfect background fabric - such a cheerful quilt!
