I like the way this one looks. I have no idea how I'm going to quilt it, but I really like the way it finally turned out. I didn't want black for the border. I was going to use a light blue around the gray, but I think it's done.
I like the secondary pattern of the stars. It was fun figuring out how to make the borders fit around the hexagons. It's about 67 x 84. It will be big enough for the top of the queen bed in the guest room, but not a whole lot bigger than that.

Very pretty top, Mary. The colors you put in between each block just set them off. Good idea! Now I want to see what you decide to do for the border and backing.

It really looks like intricate stained glass. Lovely! I bet if you use a single quilting motif for each of the secondary stars, it would bring them out even more.

Wow, this is such a cool quilt. Just amazing. I love the stars that pop out here and there. Good luck with the quilting, no advice on that here.
I already commented, but I've been thinking of how I'd quilt your top. I think I'd find a great varigated thread for an all over design. Or depending on how big those hexagons are, I'd densely quilt, like match stick in all the black. That'd make your hexi's pop.
