Disappearing Nine Patch Top Done

Here is the top. I like it. I think I'm going to use two layers of flannel to finish it up. I'll have to buy some flannel though, don't have any to use. It's kind of unusual for a baby quilt, but my niece specifically said she is not a pastel kind of girl. This is about as far from pastels as you can get!

I guess this will count as my design wall post as well. If you want to see what more people are doing, check out Judy's blog.

I think it is adorable. Baby quilts are moving away from the white/pink and blue/pink into the cheery, natural hues. Very inspirational!

Ooh, that's pretty! I like your colour placement -- makes it look like a totally different pattern from regular DNP. :) Take care, Dianne B. in England

I love the colors in this quilt! I have made a lot of brighter colored quilts for babies and always love the way they come out.

Isn't the D9P so easy to do also! It has become one of my favorites!

I think it's a perfect baby quilt. I have read that babies are much more attracted to strong colors than pastels.

Mary, it's beautiful. I LOVE the colors and I think it's wonderful for a baby quilt. Flannel on the back will be wonderfully soft.

It's bright and pretty. The flannel will make it so cozy too. My favorite pattern for a quick quilt.

I studied your quilt to figure out why it looked so different from other D9P quilts I've seen!
Very cool!
