Design Wall

I took a class from Karen Pharr on Saturday. Here's what I have so far. It is supposed to be a scene through a window. I decided on a night scene, we'll see what it looks like when/if I finish it. At the moment I'm thinking thread to sketch out the details, but I really don't know what I'm doing.

To see what others are doing, check out Judy's blog.

Mary looks like you had a very successful class. Just jump in with the threads and keep adding more until you like the dimension. It'll be fun.

I like what you have so far. I'm trying to get into this kind of quilting too. I took a class a couple of weeks ago, which was disappointing. Yours looks good!

I love the effect of views through a window. I see sparkly or glittery thread in the sky to give the effect of light and stars/

I think it's a great beginning and you probably know more what you are doing than you think! Art quilts can be Liberating!

I'm liking what you have so far. Thread painting is a good way to give body and texture. You go girl!
