Design Wall Monday-February 20, 2012

These are the colors I'm going to use, with one missing. And below is the quilt design. I saw something like this while surfing the net, but it was a two-color quilt with white background. I decided to try something a bit different. I can't find the original picture again, so can't send you there.

Here is a mock-up of the quilt. I don't know exactly what it is going to look like. I'm making it up as I go along. I may add a row at the top and bottom with squares of color, maybe one from each to sort of finish it.

I also finished my One Block Wonder. I took this picture outside (finally) so the colors are much more true. This is my UFO for February, so I started another top. I am trying to quilt each new one that I start, and so far so good.

To see what other quilters are doing, check out Judy's blog.

Aren't those one-block quilts fun! So amazes me how they evolve so differently. Just lovely.

GREAT colors Mary! And the colors in your One Block Wonder are just wonderful. Sure makes a difference taking pics outside, doesn't it? I can't wait for warmer weather so I can do that, lol!

Your one block wonder is beautiful. Nice job! You are really getting your UFO's caught up. Kudos to you for that!!

Your One block wonder is beautiful. What nice colors. I love your black colorwash idea. it reminds me of Amish coloring, but truly modern. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I like your "personal mystery" quilt, so far. I am doing the same thing only I started by making some wedges from 2 1/2" strips that wern't doing anything but hanging around. Each step of the way I have to step back, look at the wall, and figure out where to go from there. Right now I have an idea but am still working on how to do it. Fun!?!
