Design Wall

I'm thinking about the green and purple for between the rows of stack n whack blocks, but it seems to "heavy" to me, so I may have to use them for the borders. I may use white, or find a complementary yellow for between. I don't have any more of the yellow, bought this MANY years ago, so it might have to be something new. I don't like the original fabric between either--but it might be useful for an accent somewhere.

Here is an idea of what the finished top is supposed to look like.  Check out Judy's blog to see what others are doing on their design walls.

I like the green and purple in between the rows. Borders of that would look good though too.

I think a yellow between would look great. It would not detract from the blocks.

I agree with you about the green and purple. I am not so sure about the yellow. For me, a pale shade of green with the purple as the accent border would be a good choice. I do love the blocks. Great job.

Oh Mary, you've done it once again, you've made my Quilt Bucket List a bit longer with your pictured quilt in progress! Thanks, it's great!

Boy those quilts look complicated, lol. But oh so pretty!

Wow! I really like that setting for those blocks.

Mary, the blocks are stunning so I can see your dilemma about the fabric to go in between. Here's wishing good luck finding the perfect fabric.

Wow! I really like the different blocks that makes. I did a 4 patch kalidascope a couple of years ago, and even with 4 patches it was exciting.

LOVE the blocks! I think the green is a good choice but maybe you'd think it was less 'heavy' if it was a lighter green

I like the green and purple. I always think yellow needs to be toned down by other fabrics. It is looking great!

Looking great! I agree the green seems a bit to heavy. I'd trial a pale yellow, green or mauve to see how that looked.

Very nice setting for the Stack N Whack--haven't seen that one before. I have no advice for your sashing--but surely you will pick something that satisfies you. I like the colors very much.
